Introduction to New AI Models
Google has recently announced the release of two new models, Gemini Omni and Gemini 3.5, which are designed to make AI more helpful for everyone. Gemini Omni can create anything from any input, starting with video, and is a significant leap forward in world understanding, multimodality, and editing. Gemini 3.5 Flash is the first in the latest family of models that combine frontier intelligence with action.
Impact on AI Development
The release of these new models, along with advancements to Google Antigravity, an agent-first development platform, has moved beyond AI tools that just help with writing, to agents that help with action. This means that anyone can now be a builder, and agents and agentic experiences are being unlocked across various products. For example, Information agents in Search, Gemini Spark, and Daily Brief in the Gemini app, and the launch of Universal Cart, a truly intelligent shopping cart.
